Disciplinary panel upholds recommendation for reprimand for St. Louis circuit attorney

In an expected move, a disciplinary panel this week has recommended St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner get a reprimand for her misconduct during an investigation into former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens. Gardner appeared before the panel April 11 after reaching an agreement with the Missouri Disciplinary Counsel, which also recommended Gardner be given a reprimand for withholding evidence from Greitens’ defense attorneys in 2018. The Central West End will soon have a new lounge and events space courtesy of a beloved neighborhood brand. Maryland House (44 Maryland Plaza), by the team behind Brennan's, will open this fall on Maryland Plaza in the former Mandarin Lounge. It's a new venue that should look a little familiar to veteran Central West End bar-goers who patronized the original Brennan's location from 2005-2020.

Defender Macie Hockett Is An iCAN Clinic Female Athlete of Month For Tigers

ALTON – Senior defender for the Edwardsville High School girls soccer team Macie Hockett has some friends on Alton’s team. That’s why when she and the Tigers handed the Redbirds a 3-2 loss Tuesday night (May 10) it was a little bit more important. “It was exciting.,” Hockett said. “I’m happy both teams got to play. It was a good game.” It certainly was an exciting game as Edwardsville pushed Alton to their limit on a near 90-degree evening. Alton led 1-0 from a goal from junior forward Emily Baker just 45 seconds into the game. It just so happens that Baker and Hockett are really close friends. They are actually going to be playing collegiate soccer together as they’re both committed to Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO).
